What are the unique powers of the Senate?

The Senate has several exclusive powers: confirming presidential nominations (including cabinet members, federal judges, and Supreme Court justices), ratifying international treaties by a two-thirds majority, and conducting impeachment trials for federal officials impeached by the House. The Senate also elects its own President Pro Tempore, who presides in the Vice President's absence.
