Biography
Laura Kelly was elected Governor of Kansas in 2018 and re-elected in 2022, making her one of the few Democratic governors in a deeply red state. A former state senator, she has focused on Medicaid expansion, education funding, and bipartisan governance. She cannot seek a third consecutive term.
