What is a congressional district office?

In addition to their Washington D.C. office, most members of Congress maintain one or more district offices in their home district or state. District offices handle constituent services such as helping with federal agency problems (like Social Security or VA benefits), scheduling tours of the Capitol, and connecting constituents with federal resources. District offices are usually more accessible than D.C. offices.
